“Listening to the station this morning, I realized how happy I am that I have been a member since KING went public. I listen at home, in my car, at my volunteer gigs, and even while traveling overseas via the smartphone app. The music is a like a voice of comfort and hope in a sometimes bleak world. I’m pleased to be a supporting member and to have been able to make a capital contribution for the new broadcast home. My money has been used wisely. If I had more, I would give more. Many thanks.”
“Thank you for highlighting the work of artists of Japanese descent in remembrance of the forced removal of Japanese Americans from Bainbridge Island. I found Yukie Nagai’s performance of a “Pavane for a Dead Princess” so poignant and moving.
Again, thank you for marking this day.
”
“Thank you for incorporating more and more female composers and pianists over this past year, including Clara Wieck Schumann, Amy Beach and Florence Price. It is important that we hear and become familiar with those pieces so that we can marvel at their creations and aspire to play them just as much as the traditionally-held composer titans. I have been adding these women’s pieces to my repertoire and feel much richer as a result.
Bravo, King FM! Continue to lead us into the ever-expanding world of musicianship!

“I am African American and female. I really appreciate that over the past year you have given more air time to black and brown composers. I have noticed you have been playing more female composers, also. I really appreciate the changes you have made to the station over the past year. Growing up as a young black girl in the seventies I didn’t even know that there were black or female composers of classical music. I love the commentary and background information that King FM hosts offer about composers and their music. Your hosts are my companions throughout the day.”
