NPR Network Proposals
Discussing the Options
The NPR Network proposals – set in motion at NPR's late June board meeting – have the potential to change the relationship between NPR and its Member stations more profoundly than anything since the "Listener Hour Model" was adopted a quarter century ago.
Analyzing and discussing the NPR Networks opportunities and risks will be one of the top priorities for this year's SRG retreat. NPR's COO, Will Lee, will join SRG members in Denver to participate in this process.
In advance of the retreat SRG and NPR organized two 90-minute video conferences on the NPR Network proposals for SRG members:
The first session (Wednesday 13 July) focused pn NPR's team providing a general overview of the proposals, with opportunities for some questions from SRG members.
A recording of the first session is available here. The second session (Friday 15 July) allowed SRG members to raise and discuss more specific questions or concerns, identify risks and opportunities, etc.
A recording of the second session is available here.
